The Parish Plan Steering Committee are delighted to confirm that the draft Parish Plan text and action plan has started its consultation phase and is currently with the Parish Council for consideration and feedback.

Once received the document will be sent to West Berkshire Council as part of the ongoing consultation process and in due course will be formally approved and adopted.

Every house in the Parish will receive a copy of the final document and action plan later in the year.

There are some action points and the community need to take ownership of them. So please support the action plan where you can. Why not help form or be part of some of the working groups required? Especially for matters you have an interest in or concerns that affect you. We would love to hear from you.

We have a stall at the Curridge School Fete on 25th June, and Chieveley Village Fete on 27th June 2010. Please call in to chat with members of the Committee and have a look at the information and displays.

As a result of feedback and information gleaned through the Parish Plan process a number of projects are happening in our Parish. The refurbishment of the old tennis courts is well underway now as is the newly formed Cricket Club with their new cricket wicket. Share a garden initiative is now being advertised and a skate park is being considered for the youth.

Exciting times.
