Curridge Wastelands Charity

School Leavers, are you about to progress to Higher or Further Education?

If so, are you aware that as a resident of Curridge, there is a small Charity “Curridge Wastelands” [Charity No202501] which was originally founded to “relieve need, hardship or distress generally or individually to residents of the Curridge community”. As this need is not now perceived to exist the Trustees have extended the scope of their discretion to applications from students from Curridge embarking on higher or further education courses either directly from school or after a gap year who incur expenses for books, special equipment or materials relevant to their course. Applications may be submitted at any time throughout the course, however, distribution of funds will only occur once in each academic year and there will be a limit to the number of applications from any one student. To be considered for a small grant please provide details, on the application form which can be downloaded from the website.

Further queries can be asked of any of the present trustees -

Mr Rob Crispin Tel: 200512
Mrs Clare Cooke Tel: 203311
Mrs Debbie Power Tel: 200251

In view of the current circumstances pertinent to the Coronavirus pandemic and in particular the changing circumstances concerning educational qualifications the Trustees are extending the deadline for 2021 grant applications to 31 December 2021. Students from Curridge are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity and to apply as soon as book or equipment requirements are known.
