Cold Weather Alert - Health and Driving info

11/1/2017

"Increasing risk of snow showers, severe overnight, frost and icy conditions from Thursday onwards. As a band of rain spreads eastwards on Thursday it is likely to turn wintry during the afternoon, with the potential for heavy snow at times. As this clears away during the evening, with clear skies a rapid freeze is possible, leading to icy conditions."

West Berkshire Council have circulated the above alert, plus there is some useful information if you follow these links:

NHS England Severe Weather pages

NHS Choices Winter Health pages

NHS Stay Well This Winter campaign pages

Curridge residents are reminded
that there are public salt bins located at Curridge Road/ Crabtree Lane junction and near Arlington Grange, so if icey conditions arrive then residents (that are able) are encouraged to help apply grit in these areas (school bus stop and steep hill on Curridge road respectively).

Please be very careful everyone.
