Help shape the future of West Berkshire

Improving education, more affordable housing, improvements to road and rail infrastructure, and the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults are among the priorities West Berkshire Council is proposing for the district for 2015-2019.

Residents are being asked to comment on the proposals which are enshrined in the new draft Council Strategy - called 'Shaping our district' - which goes out for a six week consultation beginning this week.

The document lays out what the council believes should be its vision, strategic aims and priorities for the next four years, supporting that with an overview of the district and its people, and a summary of what has been achieved so far.

All residents, businesses, community groups - in fact anyone with a stake in the future of West Berkshire - are urged to submit their thoughts on the draft strategy through the online consultation.

It can be found on the council's website here http://info.westberks.gov.uk/index.aspx?articleid=30922
