The West Berkshire Council Housing Site Allocations (DPD) consultation process continues and at the Chieveley Parish Annual Assembly Cllr Cowan will be providing an update on the Housing Site Allocation Development Plan Document, progress made including the new timetable for the revised document to become available for consultation. The agenda and poster for the Parish Assembly event is attached.
Our guest speaker this year at the Annual Assembly is Major Greenman from Denison Barracks. His talk includes an update on the recent changes at Denison Barracks, the new units arriving including 77th Brigade and their role in Military operations. The Ministry of Defence said that the “77th Brigade is being created to draw together a host of existing and developing capabilities essential to meet the challenges of modern conflict and warfare. It recognises that the actions of others in a modern battlefield can be affected in ways that are not necessarily violent.”
Police Community Support Officer Paul Smith will be present at the beginning of the evening to meet local residents and to provide advice and guidance if required on how to keep homes and property protected.
