This is in response to a 2014 call from West Berks District Council for new extraction sites as part of a new Minerals and Waste Development Plan. From this site Grundon expect to extract up to 500,000 tonnes of material over a 12 year period, with around 16 vehicle movements per day.
A three week long public consultation is expected to be launched during the summer this year, when local residents will be able to express their views on this proposal.
An unofficial action group has already started to consult local residents, headed by Caroline and Mark Davies. For more information please email mailto:[email protected]
